![]() ![]() In the patch notes, a LOT of what they fixed/broke/changed isn't listed at all (which doesn't make writing this guide any easier.). ![]() That thought is true, but sadly not the whole truth. If you've ever read the patch notes, you probably thought to yourself that Blizzard didn't think the game balance very well through to begin with, and that they aren't very good at fixing bugs. Why the long journey? I'll try to elaborate on the why's for each patch before we get down to the how's. In summary, we will look at the following patches:ġ.00 - The original, classic Diablo II as it was shipped.ġ.06b - Classic Diablo II, as patched as it got before the expansion was released.ġ.07 - Lord of Destruction expansion as it came out of the box.ġ.08 - LoD with working TC system but broken MF.ġ.09b - LoD with the "players" command, which goes from 1-64ġ.10a - The first glimpse of the game as we play it today.ġ.10s - The last patch with items superior to 1.13d.īear in mind, no item or character can ever be brought back in time only you have that ability. The gameplay will be a lot more in-depth in the guides to follow. This guide will briefly mention the tech stuff and method I used to get any patch running with multiple instances. ![]() Be advised, however, that embarking on a journey like this could take a rather long time, but, the rewards are manyfold, and some truly astounding items can become yours! The goal of this guide is to provide you with the knowledge required to obtain the most powerful items in the game, and to elaborate on how to advance with as little hassle as possible.
